Intermediate Afterschool Orchestra (Tues/Thurs 4-5p)
This class is for experienced students who can demonstrate a small set of skills in music theory and in application.
We will be playing harder music, with sixteenth notes, triplets, more complicated time signatures such as 12/8, 6/8, and cut time.
There will be more difficult techniques using both your bow and your playing hand, like spiccato, left hand pizzicato, harmonics, and more.
Practice techniques are taught in class and used to work through the material in the sessions. Daily practice is essential to fully take advantage of course material.

| Requirements: | Has the ability to play a part different than their peers -Able to sightread music with eighth, quarter, half, and whole notes and rests. -Able to recognize and play simple keys like D, A, G, and C major -Cellos have the ability to comfortably read and play 2nd position -Able to read and play in simple time signatures like 3/4 and 4/4 |
