Kaitlin has been a music educator since 2004. Her teaching style prioritizes clear, compassionate communication, collaboration, and mindful practice strategies that give you options and tools for overcoming playing challenges with creativity and ease. The ultimate goal of any lesson with Kaitlin is that you leave feeling excited to play your instrument once you get home!
Lessons integrate a blend of technique, music theory, classical repertoire, folk tunes, and student requests. Method books used include Faber Piano Adventures, A Dozen A Day, Hanon, Essential Elements String Method, and Suzuki Method Books 1-5.
Kaitlin is a classically trained pianist and violinist with 25 years playing experience. She holds a level 10 certification through the Royal Conservatory of Music and is an active member of the Puyallup Valley Music Teachers Association and the state and national organizations—WSMTA and MTNA.
