Phil Hansen

Phil Hansen has been performing as a vocalist and guitarist in the greater Puget Sound Region for many years where his main acoustic guitar interests have centered on the Contemporary Fingerstyle and Contemporary Flatpicking arenas. His fun, informative, and entertaining shows would consist of an eclectic mix of ragtime, ragtime/blues, jazz standards, blues, pop, and folk material performed with vocals. Phil performs as a solo or with the progressive trio “Acoutic Couti” and in the contemporary gospel band “The A Team”.
In addition to his work as a solo and group performer Phil has been a full
time music teacher since 1973 and has taught at 2 local colleges, 2 high schools, and in many music stores since that time. He has also written eight published guitar and mandolin manuals, and many assorted articles on guitar styles and techniques in several publications. He continues to teach, perform, and live in the greater Puget Sound Region of Washington State.

Lynn Brannen

Rates: $30 per 1/2 hour for guitar, banjo, and piano, $35 per 1/2 hour for voice
Lynn has been teaching voice and guitar for 30 years. Her experience includes lead roles in light opera, musical theatre, classical performances and many years as a worship leader in her church She received a Bachelor of Arts in Music/Vocal performance from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
Her vocal technique lessons will move you into experiences with your voice that you have never known.

Her guitar and banjo lessons give you the choice to learn chords, read guitar music, grasp rhythmic strumming, learn flat-picking, finger picking, and music theory. If you are a beginner, the first lessons will have you playing simple chords to accompany yourself in song. A determined and patient teacher, she looks for musical abilities both latent and visible that she can encourage. A high priority for her is establishing a good relationship with her students. She believes this always enhances learning.

Colby Singleton

Rates: $30 ½ hour or $150 a month for 3/4 hour lessons
Colby was born and raised in small town Calhoun, Georgia and moved to Enumclaw in 2012. He is a self-taught musician with 23 years of musical experience and started playing at 10 years old. He enjoys teaching students and strongly believes positive reinforcement, support, and motivation are key to learning, as well as having fun. Colby is also our Sales and Marketing manager at Enumclaw Music.
His lessons will give you the choice to learn chords, grasp rhythmic strumming, finger pickin, read guitar tabs, multiple scales (Major and Minor, Pentatonic, Diatonic, 12 Bar and Delta blues) and much more, to allow you to play your favorite songs or create your own.

David Bozich

David has played bass for 40+ years and enjoys teaching others how to play as well.
David strongly believes that everyone should have the opportunity to find their passion for music and is working on growing the Enumclaw music program. He is also actively involved in the local music community.

Savannah Mickelsen

Savannah is an employee of Enumclaw Music, and was an active member in the Enumclaw High School marching band. She also performs with her church worship team. She has played flute for 6 years and is a part of the advanced wind ensemble at Enumclaw High School. She auditioned (on flute) and was accepted into the Western International Band Clinic (WIBC, an honor band) in 2019. She has played guitar for 5 years, and leads the youth worship team at her church. She is also a part of the folk group "Room At The Table", and has experience playing guitar in a jazz band setting.
She has been teaching for 4 years, and loves getting the opportunity to encourage musicians of all ages to learn and excel at their instrument.

Andy Newell

Andy Newell is a long-time Enumclaw resident, so far spending most of his musical career in the Tacoma and Seattle area. He offers both Voice and Beginning Guitar lessons here at Enumclaw Music.
Andy graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Music Education. He taught in public school for five years and has been teaching private instruction ongoing 12 years now.
Andy has enjoyed singing with both the Tacoma and Seattle Opera Choruses. He was honored to be accepted into the Tacoma Young Artists program in 2007. Andy is proud that many of his students have competed at high levels in State solo competitions.
Andy is musically multilingual, being able to sing and sight-read fluently in German, Italian, French, and English.
